It started off harmlessly. In fact, you could say, we were just clowning around. Literally!
But the day took an unexpected turn and before long, I was standing amidst uniformed guards in a Bangkok port. Dressed like a clown, feeling like a clown – I was totally out of place!
How we see ourselves is often informed by how others see us. Unfortunately, such a roller coaster ride of approval and disapproval, is no way to live life. For the Christian, the opinion that we must learn to give the most weight to, is that of our Heavenly Father. And here’s what he says;
“So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away — look, what is new has come!”
